  • INTERNATIONAL FOREST DAY 2023 OBSERVED

    Mount Everest College NSS Unit-1 conducted and joint with the rest of the world in observing International Forest Day under the theme “Forest & Health” on 21st March, 2023 at Smart Class Hall of the College. 50 NSS Unit-1 volunteer participated in the programme.

    The main aim of the theme is to make people realize that healthy forest will bring healthy people.

    In connection to this, Awareness programme was held at the Smart Class hall of the college with Mr. Niomchung Jatak Chiru, IQAC Coordinator & Asst. Prof., Department of Physics attended as a Resource Person. He deliberated that Forest are good for our Physical and mental well being. It also help boost our immense system, Lower blood pressure and promote relaxation. From cleaner air to providing natural cooling and fresh water to drink, forest support our health in many ways. Forest also provide us medicine. Globally we lost 10 million Hector each year,but we can turn the tide on this negative trend through sustainable forest management and ecosystem restoration. 60% infectious diseases and 75% all emerging infectious diseases are Zoonotic, which originate from the transfer of pathogens from animals to human which is due to the clearing of natural landscape of the forest (animal habitat) by the human activities. By planting tree and restoring forest it will shield us against future pandemics and also we can support an integrate our health approach for people, species and planet he added.

    Further, the NSS Volunteer also reach out Taphou Phyamai Village (Adopted Village) to spread awareness in order to ensure sustainable forest management and biodiversity conservation.

  • VAC 501 & VAC 516 Presentation

    As a part of VAC 501 & VAC 516 internal Assessment for 1st semester Examination under NEP, The examination committee and the Teachers concern conducted their presentation and submission of Project at their class room on 16 & 17th March, 2023

    Vice principal and IQAC coordinator attended All Manipur college principal meeting regarding exchange of Examination centre among college with regard to 1st semester exam 2022 (dec) NEP at court hall, Manipur University chair by hon’ble vice chancellor, mu on 6th March 2023

  • VAC (Value Added Course) Internal Examination

    VAC Internal Examination under NEP begin from 14th March, 2023 at Mount Everest College conducted by Examination Committee, MEC. The said examination will continue till 17th March, 2023 with written, Presentation, Assignment/Project.

  • One Day awareness programme on Y-20

    MEC students and staff participated in one day awareness programme on Y-20 under the aegis of Directorate of Higher Education, Manipur on the theme “Future of work: Industry4.0, Innovation and 21 Century Skills at Don Bosco College, Maram on 3rd March 2023

    Folktales are the oral textbooks of the past, the present generation also keep them alive by retelling them which is the duty of everyone to retell the story to the future generations too. If not, such precious treasures of the ancestors will be lost sooner or later – Gonmei Meithuanlungpou, vice principal.
