    Anti-Ragging & Anti intoxicant campaign

     

     

     

    A ‘One Day Anti-Ragging & Anti intoxicant Awareness Programme’ was conducted on  19- 09-2022, 10:00 am at Mount Everest College Auditorium hall organized by the Anti-Ragging &  intoxicant cell to give awareness and prevent the menace of ragging and maintain healthy interpersonal relations, not to pollute their internal body environment with any form of intoxicants among students in the college.

    Ragging is strictly forbidden on and outside the college campus and is an intoxicant-free zone. For this purpose the Anti-Ragging & Anti intoxicant Committee has been actively functioning and making efforts to maintain a calm and quiet environment on the college campus. The resource person Jangminthang, Asst. Professor, Department of Sociology, MEC elaborated on ragging, and types of ragging and informed the gathering about the consequences of ragging if found guilty depending upon the nature and gravity of the offense, which in his opinion would be devastating. Later at the end, A mass-spoken pledge was made by the gatherings not to indulge in any form of ragging and intoxicant. Nearly 300 students participated in the programme

    In pursuance of the Directorate of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur orders dated 8th August, 2023 to the Government and Government Aided College of Manipur to displayed/hoisted the National Flag in the College Campus from 13 to 15th August, 2023 to mark Har Ghar Tiranga and Independence Day Celebration.
    In this regard, the Principal along with the Staff and students of Mount Everest College, Senapati hoisted the National Flag on 13th August, 2023 to mark Har Ghar Tiranga and Independence Day Celebration at the College Campus till 15th August 2023.

    Mount Everest College Football Team beg 3rd Position in the INDEPENDENT CUP 2023 (inter-college Man Football Cup at Senapati) which was organized by the District Administration, Senapati in collaboration with Senapati District Olympic Association from 8th August -12 August 2023.

    3 DAYS HANDS ON TRAINING ON MOODLE LMS

    Pursuant to the directive issued by the Directorate of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur, dated the 28th of July, 2023, a three-day immersive training program focusing on the “Moodle Learning Management System” was orchestrated with precision and dedication. This educational endeavor unfolded within the distinguished confines of the Conference Hall at the Directorate of University and Higher Education, GOM, commencing on the 31st of July and culminating on the 2nd of August in the same year.

    In conjunction with this significant undertaking, Niomchung Jatak Chiru, assuming the role of IQAC Coordinator, Biswajit Singh, adroitly serving as the IT Coordinator, and Thovi, diligently carrying out the responsibilities of the Moodle Coordinator, collectively constituted a distinguished contingent, representing the venerable Mount Everest College in their active participation in this comprehensive training initiative.

    Upon the culmination of this instructive training program, it is a matter of great distinction that the team hailing from Mount Everest College achieved the coveted accolade for best performance. They emerged triumphant among the 11 aided colleges from the state of Manipur that participated in this transformative educational experience.

    World Youths Skill Day

    In relation to World Youth Skills Day,  Mount Everest College, Senapati emphasizes the need to impart and acknowledge the crucial significance of equipping young individuals with the necessary skill sets for employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship. It is also an opportunity to emphasize the role of skills development in enabling the youth of the college to thrive in the economy. with this mission, the College organized the World Youths Skills Day on 15 July 2023 initiated by the Skill Enhancement Committee in collaboration with NSS Unit- 1 Volunteers, sponsored by Mount Everest College Alumni Association at the College Premises under the  theme “Skilling Teachers, Trainers, and youth for transformative futures”

    To Create opportunities that enable students to acquire new skills and refine their talents in daily necessities- domestic construction work using cement and bricks was taught by the expert of the building laborer of the college. Teachers along with more than 15 NSS Unit- 1 volunteers have participated in the programme.

  • Extension and Outreach programme

    Extension and Outreach programme

    Collaborative Extension and outreach programme with Lungnila Elizabeth College Senapati was conducted at Yankhullen Village, Senapati District, Manipur on 2nd May, 2023.

    Under the initiative of Extension Committee, MEC, Sociologly Department, Anthropology Department, Anti-Litter Club and in collaborate with Lungnila Elizabeth College Sociology Department joint hand with 42 students and 10 Faculty members participated and conducted the programme.

    Activities taken up in the village are as follows:

    1) Blood group identification.

    2) Women sanitation and hygiene awareness and distribution of sanitary pads to women in the village.

    3) Distribution and installation of dust bins inscribed with the college name in the village.

    4) Visiting and recording the preserved historical past and magnificent traditions of the village.

  • Zoological Park Visit

    Zoological Park Visit

    A One day Visit to Zoological Park, Imphal was organized by Zoology Department, Mount Everest College on 22nd April, 2023. Along with 2 faculty and 34 students of Zoology Department participated in the said visit. The main purposed of the visit is in relation to their co-curricular activities of the department.
