    INDUCTION PROGRAMME – FIRST SEMESTER (2024-2025)

    The Induction Programme for First Semester (2024-2025) students was held on July 22, 2024 at the Auditorium Hall, MEC. The programme consisted of pronouncing the Lord’s prayer, speech from the college authority, dedication of the new academic session and the students by Chaplain SP Simeon, and singing the College Anthem.
    The programme introduced the students to campus life, academic expectations, and available resources. It also included helping students integrate smoothly into the college environment and fostering a sense of community.

  • ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON YOGA AND PHYSICAL FITNESS

    Mount Everest College of Teacher Education (B.Ed) organised a One Day Workshop on Yoga and Physical Fitness on July 20, 2024, in the college campus.
    Participated by One Hundred and Ninety (190) individuals, the workshop was organised to promote physical fitness awareness and practical skills in their daily lives.

  • PARTICIPATION IN FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

    Three faculties of the college participated in the 5 Days Non Residential Faculty Development Programme from July 15 to July 20, 2024, organised by Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Hill College Tadubi, Government of Manipur, Senapati District, Manipur.

  • CAPACITY BUILDING AND SKILL ENHANCEMENT CLASS

    A class, organised by the Capacity Building and Skill Enhancement Committee, MEC, on AI in Everyday Life and its Impact on Future Career was given on July 15, 2024 by Mr. Ng.Thaovi, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, Mount Everest College, and Master Trainer IIE PMKVY 4.0 Senapati District, Manipur.
    The speaker highlighted the importance of AI in everyday life automates tasks, enhances decision-making, and reshapes industries, leading to new career opportunities while requiring continuous adaptation to evolving technological demands.

  • TEACHERS’ ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

    A teachers’ orientation programme focused on curriculum planning, implementation, and on NAAC assessment was organised on July 13, 2024 by IQAC, MEC, to gain insight into effective educational strategies and quality assurance measures to enhance academic standards and institutional accreditation processes.

  • CAPACITY BUILDING AND SKILL ENHANCEMENT CLASS

    A class on Language Communication Skills: How to Face Interviews was given on July 12, 2024 by Mr. Gonmei Meithuanlungpou, Acting Principal, Mount Everest College. The speaker highlighted the importance of the interview and how to prepare to face it. He also mentioned that a good performance in an interview can change the destination of one’s life.

    Organised by the Capacity Building and Skill Enhancement Committee, MEC, the class was attended by seventy nine (79) students from the 3rd Semester.

  • END SEMESTER EXAM

    The End Semester exam for BA/BSc/BCOM 1st Semester Examination 2023 (November) (NEP) was successfully conducted from June 24 to June 27, 2024. The exam was held with strict adherence to examination guidelines. Students reported on time, and invigilation was thorough to ensure fairness. No major incidents or malpractice were reported

  • PARTICIPATION IN THE NEP 2020 ORIENTATION AND SENSITIZATION PROGRAMME UNDER MM-TTP

    PARTICIPATION IN TEH NEP 2020 ORIENTATION AND SENSITIZATION PROGRAMME UNDER MM-TTP

    Four faculties of the college participated in the NEP 2020 Orientation and Sensitization programme under Malviya Mission Teacher Training Programme (MMTTP) of UGC organised by Malviya Mission Teacher Training Centre from June 19 to June 28, 2024. The programme enhances their understanding of the new education policy’s objectives and implementation strategies.

  • INTERNAL ASSESSMENT

    The Examination Committee, MEC conducted the Internal Assessment (Written) for BA/BSc/BCom 3rd Semester (NEP) from June 17 to June 21st, 2024.
    The exam was conducted fairly with adherence to examination guidelines.

  • OBSERVATION OF WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

    As part of World Environment Day, Botany Department and Eco Club of Mount Everest College in collaboration with Senapati Forest Division took up tree plantation programme at Poonem Ground and its surrounding area. A total of fifty (50) tree apalings were planted, and weeding was done around the trees formerly planted under the theme: “Land Restoration, Stopping Desertification and Building Drought Resilience”.

    In addition, the Department of Teacher Education (B.Ed) took up plantation programme at Naamai Zho, Senapati in collaboration with NAAMAI ECO-TOURISM SOCIETY (NETS) and Senapati Forest Division, Government of Manipur, under the theme “Plant and Adopt a Tree, Imprint your Legacy”.
