  • ONE DAY CLEANLINESS CAMPAIGN – ONLINE AND OFFLINE CUM 38TH CLEANLINESS DRIVE


    On 31st July 2024, the Anti-Litter Club of Mount Everest College organized a One Day Cleanliness Campaign, marking its 38th Cleanliness Drive. The event was held both online and offline to maximize participation and outreach. As part of the campaign, pamphlets promoting “Mission Clean Earth & Earthlings” were circulated online and distributed in person to raise awareness on environmental responsibility. Students, faculty, and volunteers participated actively, cleaning local areas and spreading awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean environment. The campaign successfully reinforced the college’s commitment to sustainability and community involvement, encouraging everyone to contribute to a cleaner, healthier planet.

  • CAPACITY BUILDING AND SKILL ENHANCEMENT CLASS ON PUBLIC SPEAKING


    Mr. Jenkins Kongkongho, Students Facilitator at Mount Everest College, delivered a talk on public speaking at the Capacity Building and Skill Enhancement class organized by the Capacity Building and Skill Enhancement Committee on July 30, 2024. He emphasized the critical role of communication and public speaking in personal and professional growth, acknowledging that public speaking is a common challenge for many.
    Mr. Kongkongho explained that public speaking involves the process of presenting, conveying, and delivering messages effectively, particularly to a live audience. His insights aimed to boost students’ confidence and equip them with skills to overcome the fear of public speaking, underscoring its importance in today’s competitive environment.

  • CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION AWARDED


    A certificate of appreciation is awarded to Mount Everest College by the Government of Manipur, Directorate of Environment & Climate Change and Zaimeng Joint Development Committee during the ‘Celebration of 1st Tadui Tako Festival’ on July 26-27, 2024.
    This certificate is awarded to Mount Everest College with special thanks to Shri Gonmei Meithuanlungpou, Vice Principal of the college, for the invaluable contribution and unwavering support in transforming Zaimeng Lake into a prominent tourist destination.

  • PARTICIPATION IN CATCH UP SESSION ON CAREER IN CIVIL SERVICES


    On July 25, 2024, students of the college attended a Catch-Up Session with the 2022 Batch of the Manipur Civil Services on the topic “MPSC Civil Services Combined Examination and Beyond.”
    The session featured resource persons from the Manipur Civil Services (MCS): Sheveine, Assistant Commissioner, Senapati; PF. Lophro, Jr. MCS, Sub Deputy Collector, Senapati; Panii Ngaonii, Jr. MCS, Sub Deputy Collector, Senapati; and Adahrii Maheo, MCS, CEO of the Autonomous District Council, Senapati. Each speaker shared valuable insights into the examination process, strategies for success, and life beyond the exams. They discussed practical tips for aspiring candidates, job responsibilities, and career growth within the civil services, inspiring students with firsthand experiences and guidance on preparing for their own civil service journey.

  • CAPACITY BUILDING AND SKILL ENHANCEMENT CLASS ON HEALTH AND HYGIENE


    Miss Vashti, Dean of Students at Mount Everest College, addressed the Capacity Building and Skill Enhancement class on July 25, 2024, organized by the Capacity Building and Skill Enhancement Committee, on the topic of Health and Hygiene.
    In her talk, she emphasized the characteristics of a healthy body, highlighting key factors that contribute to overall well-being. She discussed the importance of a balanced diet and its significant health benefits, educating students on the essentials of proper nutrition.
    Additionally, Miss Vashti covered various types and causes of diseases, focusing on preventive measures. Her insights aimed to empower students with practical knowledge for maintaining good health and preventing illness.

  • AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON WOMEN-CENTRIC LEGISLATION


    The awareness campaign, organised by District Administration in collaboration with District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), One Stop Centre (OSC), Integrated Child Development Service (ICDS), District Legal Service Authority (DLSA), and Women’s Cell, Mount Everest College, on July 24, 2024, aimed to increase knowledge about Women-Centric Legislation laws and policies among the target audience.

    Such campaigns are crucial in promoting gender equality, empowering women with knowledge about their rights, ensuring access to support services in cases of need. By collaborating with various governmental and non-governmental bodies, Mount Everest College demonstrated its commitment to fostering a supportive and informed environment for its students and contributing positively to societal change regarding gender issues.

  • FELICITATION PROGRAMME OF POSITION HOLDERS IN THE UNIVERSITY FINAL SEMESTER EXAMINATION,2024


    Organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Mount Everest College, the college held a felicitation ceremony on July 24, 2024 to honor position holders namely –

    The event celebrated their academic excellence with Presidential Cash Award and certificate presented by the President of the college, Dr.V. Alexander Pao. Proud families, students and faculty members attended, applauding the students’ hard work and dedication.

  • ONE DAY AWARENESS PROGRAMME on NASHA MUKT BHARAT CAMPAIGN 2024 & ANTI-DRUG DECLARATION

    The Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign and Anti-drug Declaration event, under the theme “The Evidence is Clear: Invest in Prevention” was jointly organised by IQAC, NSS, and Anti-Ragging & Anti-Intoxicant Cell, MEC on July 22, 2024, raising awareness about the dangers of substance abuse. Students took a pledge to lead drug-free lives and to co-operate with the authorities of the college to report any irregular behaviours. The event highlighted the importance of youth involvement in building a healthier, addiction-free society.
