  • ONE DAY AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON ANTI-RAGGING


    In commemoration of Anti-Ragging Week-August 12 to 18, 2024, a One Day Awareness Campaign on Anti-Ragging was organised on 12th August, 2024 at the Auditorium Hall.
    Organised by the Anti-Ragging and Anti- Intoxication Cell, and IQAC, MEC, the campaign aimed to sensitize the students on the effects of ragging in society. A pledge was also taken to maintain a safe, respectful campus.

  • LAUNCH OF GK MISSION -4


    The GK Mission 4 was launched on August 12, 2024, featuring a comprehensive set of 95 questions across 14 diverse subjects : Nation and State, Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, English, Geography, History, Mathematics, Political Science, Physics, Sociology, Sports, World, and Zoology. This initiative, created with contributions from the college’s faculty, aims to broaden students’ general knowledge and academic perspectives across multiple disciplines. It reflects the college’s commitment to fostering a well-rounded educational experience through collaborative faculty engagement.

  • CHARITY DONATION


    With the funds collected from Charity Day held on May 3, 2024 and the fund donated by the institute, the Department of Commerce and the Chapel Committee, MEC, visited four families on August 10, 2024 (Saturday) and donated Rs. Fifteen Thousand.

  • FIRST IQAC MEETING: 2024-25


    The first IQAC meeting was held on August 10, 2024, organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, MEC. Key agendas included the Observation of Har Ghar Tiranga initiative, NIRF preparation for institutional ranking, planning Extension Activities to strengthen community ties, and discussing upcoming College Activities and Events. Miscellaneous items were also reviewed to ensure comprehensive quality enhancement across college functions. The meeting emphasized coordinated efforts for institutional development and successful implementation of planned activities.

  • CAPACITY BUILDING AND SKILL ENHANCEMENT CLASS ON BEAUTY AND WELLNESS


    A Capacity Building and Skill Enhancement class focused on ‘Beauty and Wellness’ was organised on August 8, 2024. This event featured resource persons:
    1. Mr. ID Duna, Program Officer, Jan Shiksha Sansthan (JSS)
    2. Mrs. K. Sevilei, Proprietor, Orchid Beauty Salon and Academy, Senapati

    Sponsored by Jan Shiksha Sansthan (JSS), and organized by the Capacity Building and Skill Enhancement Committee, Mount Everest College in collaboration with Orchid Beauty Salon and Academy, Senapati, this session equipped participants with valuable skills in the beauty and wellness sector, fostering professional growth and hands-on learning from experienced practitioners.

  • 39th CLEANLINESS DRIVE


    The Anti-Litter Club organized its 39th Cleanliness Drive at National Highway 2 and the Auto Parking area on August 7, 2024. This event aims to enhance the cleanliness of these busy areas, promote environmental awareness, and encourage community participation in maintaining public spaces.

  • INDUCTION DAY – MECTE


    Organised by Mount Everest College of Teacher Education, the Induction Day for the teacher-trainees was organised on August 8, 2024 at the College auditorium.
    The programme includes orientation to the curriculum, teaching methodologies, familiarisation with the education resources, classroom management. It also includes the smooth integration of the trainees to the college environment and fostering a new sense of community.

  • OBSERVATION OF COMMERCE DAY


    The Department of Commerce at Mount Everest College celebrated Commerce Day on August 8, 2024, with the theme “Together towards Tomorrow.”
    The event featured an address by Chartered Accountant N. Kaikho, who shared insights on the evolving role of commerce in shaping future economies. His talk focused on the importance of adaptability, ethics, and innovation in the field.
    The event inspired students to envision and prepare for future challenges in the business world, aligning with the theme’s forward-looking message.

  • STUDENTS’ OATH TAKING AND RENEWAL CEREMONY


    The Students’ Oath Taking cum Renewal Ceremony was held at Mount Everest College on August 2, 2024, to reinforce students’ commitment to academic integrity, responsibility, and community values. New students took the oath, pledging to uphold the college’s principles, while returning students renewed their vows to continue embodying these ideals. The ceremony was attended by faculty, administration, and senior students, fostering a spirit of unity and dedication. Key speakers highlighted the importance of integrity, discipline, and service in personal and academic growth. The event served as a meaningful reminder for all students to contribute positively to the college environment and beyond.

  • STAFF MEETING ON NAAC ASSESSMENT PREPARATION AT MOUNT EVEREST COLLEGE


    On July 27, 2024, a staff meeting was held at the IQAC office to prepare for the upcoming NAAC ( National Assessment and Accreditation Council) Assessment.
    Led by the IQAC Coordinator, the session provided an in-depth briefing on the accreditation process, emphasizing the need for the faculty engagement and collaboration. The agenda focused on key areas such as curriculum effectiveness, faculty qualification, student support services, and infrastructure. Staff members were encouraged to participate actively by reviewing documentation, conducting self-assessments, and gathering evidence of the college’s achievements. The meeting promoted teamwork and collective responsibility, ensuring alignment in efforts to uphold and enhance the institution’s academic standards.
