The drive involved a coordinated effect by students and faculty members about the importance of waste management, and encouraged a culture of cleanliness.

  • 25th FRESHER’S DAY CELEBRATION September 3, 2024


    On September 3, 2024, Mount Everest College celebrated its 25th Fresher’s Meet for the 2024-2025 session with the theme “Speak and Shine.” Held in the College Auditorium, the event brought together the Cultural Committee, Music Club, and Science Department faculty to showcase a blend of artistic and academic contributions. Chief Guest Anupam, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Senapati District, Manipur, highlighted the importance of leadership and commitment in guiding the next generation. The Mister and Miss Fresher contest was the highlight, with Paruhang Bantawa (Sociology) and Duveinai Samuel (Zoology) emerging as winners, inspiring the new students to embark on their academic journey with enthusiasm.

  • THE GLOBAL LEADERSHIP SUMMIT AT MOUNT EVEREST COLLEGE August 30, 2024


    Mount Everest College hosted the Global Leadership Summit, inspiring participants with essential leadership skills. The event featured three impactful sessions: “The Steps to Building a Winner Mindset,” highlighting resilience and positivity for success; “Facing Your Fears,” offering strategies to overcome challenges; and “Unlocking Your Startup Mentality,” fostering entrepreneurial and innovative thinking. Attendees gained practical knowledge, motivation, and tools to lead effectively and pursue their goals with confidence and creativity.

    The Anti-Litter Club’s 40th Cleanliness Drive United members in a dedicated effort to keep the environment clean. Volunteers collected waste, promoted recycling, and raised awareness about the importance of responsible waste disposal, fostering a cleaner and healthier environment.

  • ONE DAY RETREAT WITH FRESHERS August 28, 2024


    A ‘One-Day Retreat for Freshers’ was organised on August 28, 2024, with the theme “Beyond the Horizon” by the Chapel Committee, MEC. The event featured three sessions aimed at providing a holistic experience. It began with a morning service offering spiritual guidance, setting reflective time.
    This was followed by a fun quiz session to promote knowledge, friendly competition, and camaraderie among the participants. The afternoon focused on personal development and community building.
    Bibles were distributed to symbolise spiritual reflection, learning, and community engagement. The retreat aimed to equip freshers with a sense of purpose and belonging as they started their college journey.

  • ONE DAY ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR FIRST SEMESTER STUDENTS ON NEP August 24, 2024


    Mount Everest College’s IQAC organised a ‘One Day Orientation Programme’ for First Semester students on NEP, on August 24, 2024. The event introduced students to the college’s academic structure, code of conduct and available resources. Faculty members highlighted the importance of discipline, time management, and smactivs participation, ABC (Academic Bank Credit), MU Registration process, and scholarship, NEP course structure.

  • END SEMESTER EXAMINATION – BA/BSc/ BCom 3rd SEMESTER EXAMINATION, 2023 (NOVEMBER) (NEP)


    The End Semester Examination for BA/BSc/BCom 3rd Semester, Examination 2023 (November) (NEP) was successfully conducted from August 19, 2024 to August 22 2024. The exam was held with strict adherence to examination guidelines. Students reported on time, and invigilation was thorough to ensure fairness. No major incidents or malpractice were reported.

  • ANTI-RAGGING WEEK – ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION


    An essay writing competition was held on August 16, 2024 during the Anti-Ragging Week (August 12-August 18, 2024), promoting awareness of the harmful effects of ragging.
    Students actively participated in the competition on the topic “Say No to Ragging, Say Yes to Friendship”, showcasing their understanding of the issue. The event fostered a sense of responsibility and campus unity against ragging.
    The result of the competition was declared on August 24, 2024. Certificates were distributed to the winners listed below:
    1st Position – Kimdeineng Hangshing, 2nd Sem, Zoology Dept.
    2nd Position – Ethan Gangmei, 2nd Sem, English Dept.
    3rd Position – Duveinai Samuel, 1st Sem, Zoology Dept.
    4th Position – Ng. Ziipane Lanah, 2nd Sem, English Dept.
    5th Position – Wungnaorei Ningshen, 1st Sem, Commerce Dept

  • INTERDEPARTMENTAL DEBATE ON GENDER ROLES


    The Interdepartmental Debate on Gender Roles organised by GEC 3rd Semester, Sociology in collaboration with Debate Club, MEC on August 12, 2023 at the college auditorium was a success.
    The debate on gender roles explored the topic “Is it fair to expect women to bear the primary responsibility for household chores and caregiving?” The participants presented arguments on traditional gender expectations, societal norms, and the need for equal division of responsibilities in modern households.

  • OBSERVATION OF HAR GHAR TIRANGA


    The Har Ghar Tiranga Week: August 12-15, 2024 was observed at the college with enthusiasm, promoting patriotism and celebrating national pride. Students and staff participated in the Tiranga Pledge, expressing their patriotism, and students and staff of diverse tribes and ethnicity signed “Jai Hind” in their respective tongue, showcasing unity in diversity.
    A Tiranga Yatra was also held to promote national unity, patriotism, and respect for the national flag. Moreover, Tiranga Selfies was also held to promote love for the nation through social media platforms.
    Patriot’s Day was also observed on August 14, 2024, with tributes to freedom fighters, speeches and pledges taking to honour the sacrifices for the nation’s independence.
