    MEC observed World AIDS Day

    On this day, 1st December, 2022, MEC joined with the rest of the world in commemorating World AIDS day. we show support for people living with HIV and to remember those who have died from AIDS-related illnesses. Teachers and students of the college wear a red ribbon, the universal symbol of awareness of, support for and solidarity with people living with HIV on this day.

    Departmental Meeting

    Proceedings of the Departmental and Staff Meeting on NAAC relate Departmental/Committee/Club’s documentation report held on 29th November, 2022 at Smart Class Room, 2:15 pm with Gonmei Meithuanlungpou, Acting Principal, MEC in the Chair.

    At the outset the Chairman welcomed all the members and called the meeting to order. The IQAC Coordinator, Niomchung Jatak Chiru after detailed deliberation on the realisation of the documentation of every Departmental/Committee/Club’s activities in pursuance of NAAC assessment, took a detailed participative discussion by all stakeholders in this regard.

    The meeting ended with a vote of thanks to the chair and benediction by Ms. Vashti Kho, Asst. Prof., Dept. of Anthropology.

    As per the requirement of the New Education Policy, the MEC took up the initiative in filling up of student Academic Bank of Credit on 6th November, 2022 to facilitate the need of the students.

    Observance of Constitution Day of India observed

    On this day, the 26th November, 2022, Mount Everest College, Senapati organized the observance of Constitution Day of India and Talks on Constitutional Value and Fundamental Principles of the Indian Constitution. The Objective of the Program is to inculcate constitutional obligations among students, to create awareness about constitution, to sensitize the students about importance of constitution day. The programme was organized by IQAC in collaboration with political Science Department, MEC.

    WORKSHOP/HANDHOLDING SESSION ON NAAC ACCREDITATION PARTICIPATED

    As per the Notice served by the Directorate of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur dated 11th November, 2022 inviting all the Principals of the Government Aided College along with their respective IQAC Co-ordinator, IT Co-ordinator and Senior most HoD to attend the One Day Online “ Workshop/Handholding session on NAAC Accreditation” in collaboration with NAAC Bangalore on 18th November, 2022 (Friday), 11:00 am at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur.

    In this regard, Dr. Samson S. Chiru, Principal,  Niomchung Jatak Chiru, IQAC Co-ordinator, Biswajit Thokchom, IT Co-ordinator and Dr. Roshan Shagolsem, Senior HoD, of Mount Everest College, Senapati participated and attended the said workshop/Handholding session.

    At the outset Dr. Rangitabali Waikhom, Director of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur welcomes all the principals and colleague and called the online workshop in order.

    In the online webex meeting Dr. Priya Narayan, Assistant Advisor, NAAC Bangalore as a Resource Person elaborated the details of NAAC Assessment process. At the end of her session the resource person give time to all the IQAC Coordinator to share their NAAC Accreditation status report.

    The principals of the private colleges of Manipur along with their IQAC team also join the online workshop/handholding session on NAAC Accreditation in their respective college through the link.

  • MOUNT EVEREST COLLEGE STAFF OUTING

    MOUNT EVEREST COLLEGE STAFF OUTING

    The staff members of Mount Everest College, Senapati went on an Outing to Barak Valley, located at Koide, Senapati District, Manipur on 14th November, 2022. The Staff picnic was sponsored by the College Administration, MEC as a part of Welfare for Teaching and Non-teaching staff of the College. Apart from relaxation and enjoyment, the Outing also aimed at building up team spirit among the members of the staff.

    The journey to the Valley was an enjoyable one both due to the exquisite scenery on the way to the valley and the practical jokes in the bus. After the breakfast, the teachers had the option of either rendering help in cooking or enjoy swimming in the Barak River and sightseeing around the Valley. The lunch was excellent with a number of dishes spread out from Pork, Fish and various local cuisines. Altogether 43 teaching and non-teaching staff participated in the staff outing.

    On this day, the 31st October (Monday), 2022 joined with the rest of the Nation in observing National Unity Day. In relation to this the MEC NSS volunteer along with Nehru Yuva kendra senapati jointly organized a unity run from Senapati Bazar to Mount Everest College.
