  • SEMESTER END EXAMINATION – B.Ed 3rd SEMESTER EXAMINATION, 2024 (DECEMBER)

    January 28- February 6, 2025
    The B.Ed 3rd Semester Examination, 2024 (December) at Mount Everest College centre was conducted successfully and smoothly, from January 28 – February 6, 2025 without any issues, strictly following the guidelines and regulations laid down by Manipur University, ensuring fairness, transparency, and adherence to all prescribed norms.

  • MOUNT EVEREST COLLEGE ACHIEVES B+ GRADE IN FIRST NAAC ACCREDITATION

    Mount Everest College achieved a B+ grade with CGPA 2.59 in its first ever National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) evaluation, marking a significant milestone in its journey towards academic excellence.
    The in-person assessment by the NAAC Peer team-
    i) Chairman – Dr. Gautam Kamble, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Solapur, Maharashtra
    ii) Member Coordinator – Dr. Rajasekaran Balasubramaniam, Former Professor of Management, Manonmaniam Sundarnar University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu
    iii) Member – Dr. Rajesh Vyas, Chief Executive Officer, St. Paul Institute of Professional Studies, Indore, Madhya Pradesh
    took place on October 29-30, 2024, during which the team conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the college’s infrastructure, teaching quality, research contributions, students support, documents verification, and institutional governance.
    The NAAC Peer team praised the college for its picturesque hill region location, well maintained mentor-mentee records, and the exemplary discipline displayed by its students during their visit.
    The result declared on November 9, 2024, reflects the college’s commitment to providing quality education and fostering a holistic learning environment. Achieving a B+ grade is a testament to the collective efforts of the faculty, staff, and students, who have worked tirelessly to uphold the institution’s standards.
    This achievement not only enhances the college’s reputation but also motivates the institution to continue improving its academics and co-curricular practices. Mount Everest College remains dedicated to achieving greater heights in its pursuit of academic excellence and institutional growth under its motto “Ever Forward”.

  • CHARITY DONATION


    With the funds collected from Charity Day held on May 3, 2024 and the fund donated by the institute, the Department of Commerce and the Chapel Committee, MEC, visited four families on August 10, 2024 (Saturday) and donated Rs. Fifteen Thousand.

  • 39th CLEANLINESS DRIVE


    The Anti-Litter Club organized its 39th Cleanliness Drive at National Highway 2 and the Auto Parking area on August 7, 2024. This event aims to enhance the cleanliness of these busy areas, promote environmental awareness, and encourage community participation in maintaining public spaces.

  • STAFF MEETING ON NAAC ASSESSMENT PREPARATION AT MOUNT EVEREST COLLEGE


    On July 27, 2024, a staff meeting was held at the IQAC office to prepare for the upcoming NAAC ( National Assessment and Accreditation Council) Assessment.
    Led by the IQAC Coordinator, the session provided an in-depth briefing on the accreditation process, emphasizing the need for the faculty engagement and collaboration. The agenda focused on key areas such as curriculum effectiveness, faculty qualification, student support services, and infrastructure. Staff members were encouraged to participate actively by reviewing documentation, conducting self-assessments, and gathering evidence of the college’s achievements. The meeting promoted teamwork and collective responsibility, ensuring alignment in efforts to uphold and enhance the institution’s academic standards.

  • PARTICIPATION IN CATCH UP SESSION ON CAREER IN CIVIL SERVICES


    On July 25, 2024, students of the college attended a Catch-Up Session with the 2022 Batch of the Manipur Civil Services on the topic “MPSC Civil Services Combined Examination and Beyond.”
    The session featured resource persons from the Manipur Civil Services (MCS): Sheveine, Assistant Commissioner, Senapati; PF. Lophro, Jr. MCS, Sub Deputy Collector, Senapati; Panii Ngaonii, Jr. MCS, Sub Deputy Collector, Senapati; and Adahrii Maheo, MCS, CEO of the Autonomous District Council, Senapati. Each speaker shared valuable insights into the examination process, strategies for success, and life beyond the exams. They discussed practical tips for aspiring candidates, job responsibilities, and career growth within the civil services, inspiring students with firsthand experiences and guidance on preparing for their own civil service journey.

  • AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON WOMEN-CENTRIC LEGISLATION


    The awareness campaign, organised by District Administration in collaboration with District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), One Stop Centre (OSC), Integrated Child Development Service (ICDS), District Legal Service Authority (DLSA), and Women’s Cell, Mount Everest College, on July 24, 2024, aimed to increase knowledge about Women-Centric Legislation laws and policies among the target audience.

    Such campaigns are crucial in promoting gender equality, empowering women with knowledge about their rights, ensuring access to support services in cases of need. By collaborating with various governmental and non-governmental bodies, Mount Everest College demonstrated its commitment to fostering a supportive and informed environment for its students and contributing positively to societal change regarding gender issues.

  • CAREER GUIDANCE AND COUNSELLING PROGRAMME

    The Career Guidance and Counselling Cell, Mount Everest College organised a career guidance and counseling programme on May 10, 2024, offering students insights into various career paths, personalised advice and strategies for academic and professional success.

  • ANNUAL CHARITY DAY

    The Annual Charity Day with the theme “Give in Secret” organised by the Department of Commerce and Chapel Committee, MEC on May 3, 2024 encouraged anonymous donations, emphasizing the spirit of selfless giving. Participants contributed generously to various causes, including education, healthcare, and aid for the underprivileged. The event fostered a sense of community and compassion, highlighting the impact of kindness without seeking recognition.

  • INTERDEPARTMENTAL DAY


    The Interdepartmental Day at the college on April 20, 2024 was a vibrant celebration of talent and collaboration. Various departments showcased their skills through competitions based on different items. The event fostered camaraderie among students, highlighted interdisciplinary learning, and strengthened the college community. The day concluded with awards and enthusiastic participation from all.
