ONE DAY CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP HELD IN COLLABORATION WITH JAPAN-BASED ARMS INCORPORATION
A One Day Workshop on Capacity Building and Skill Enhancement was held on April 8, 2025, at the College Auditorium, organised by the IQAC and Capacity Building and Skill Enhancement Committee, Mount Everest College, in collaboration with ARMS Incorporation India—a Japan-based organisation headquartered in Aichi, Nagoya, specialising in promoting Japanese language education and facilitating employment opportunities for international candidates in Japan.
The resource persons were Temjen Bursanen Jamir, Director of Public Relations, and Bonny Zho, HR Counsellor, both from ARMS Incorporation India. They conducted interactive sessions focusing on communication, workplace readiness, and global career pathways. The workshop received an enthusiastic response from students across departments.

BALAJI PUBLICATION BOOK FAIR HELD AT MEC
Mount Everest College hosted the Balaji Publication Book Fair on April 8, 2025, offering a wide range of books aligned with the NEP syllabus. Students and faculty from various departments enthusiastically explored and purchased academic materials. The fair supported the college’s academic goals by making updated resources easily accessible within the campus.

ANTI-LITTER CLUB CONDUCTS ITS 58TH CLEANLINESS DRIVE
On April 2, 2025, the Anti-Litter Club of Mount Everest College conducted its 58th Cleanliness Drive with continued dedication to promoting hygiene and environmental responsibility. Members actively cleaned designated campus areas, spreading awareness on waste management and cleanliness. The drive reinforced the club’s mission of creating a cleaner, healthier, and more conscious college environment.

MOUNT EVEREST COLLEGE HONOURED WITH CHIEF MINISTER’S AWARD, RANKS AMONG TOP 7 IN MANIPUR
Mount Everest College proudly received the prestigious Chief Minister’s Award for Best Colleges of Manipur 2024, securing a place among the Top 7 colleges in the state.

ZOOLOGY AND BOTANY DEPARTMENTS JOIN PANGOLIN CONSERVATION AWARENESS PROGRAMME
The Departments of Zoology and Botany, Mount Everest College, participated in an Awareness Programme on Pangolin held at Astro Turf, Senapati on March 22, 2025, as part of the Pangolin Cup 2025 under the theme “Unit for Football, Stand for Pangolins”.
Organised to highlight the importance of conserving the rare and endangered pangolin, the event shed light on its ecological role and threats from illegal wildlife trade. Participants received a souvenir from the Wildlife Trust of India in recognition of their involvement and support for wildlife conservation efforts.

CELEBRATION OF WORLD POETRY DAY
The Department of English, Mount Everest College, held its first-ever celebration of World Poetry Day on March 21, 2025, under the theme “Poetry as a Bridge for Peace and Inclusion.” The event aimed to honour the power of poetry in promoting unity, empathy, and cultural understanding. It was graced by the President, Principal, Vice Principal, Academic Dean, IQAC Coordinator, Dean of Students, Chaplain, all Heads of Departments, and student representatives from various departments.
A Poetry Recitation Competition was held with enthusiastic participation from students. The winners were:
First Prize – Angelina Thiek (Department of Sociology)
Second Prize – Jianreilung Malangmeih (Department of Zoology) and Sundayrose (Department of Teacher Education)
Third Prize – Ng. Ziipane Lanah (Department of English)The programme marked a promising start to an annual celebration of poetry’s role in promoting peace and inclusion.

FIRST COMBINED TEST, 2025

February 3-8, 2025The First Combined Test of 2025 was conducted from 3rd to 8th February, 2025 for students of the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th Semesters under the NEP curriculum. The test aimed to assess students’ academic progress and readiness for the semester. All examinations were held smoothly with active participation and cooperation from both students and faculty.
