  • PARTING SOCIAL DAY

    On May 14, 2024, a Parting Social Programme was held to bid farewell to the graduating class, the 6th semester. The event featured speeches, musical performances, and dances. Students and teachers shared fond memories, and heartfelt goodbyes were exchanged, marking the end of a memorable chapter for the departing students.

  • EXPOSURE TRIP AND CLEANLINESS DRIVE

    A cleanliness drive and exposure trip to Zaimeng Lake, Thonglang organised by the Department of English in collaboration with Anti-Litter Club, MEC on April 4, 2024 was a successful initiative that witnessed active engagement of students in cleaning the lake and its surroundings. The team also set an example for the local community on maintaining a clean and sustainable environment. Local residents expressed appreciation and gratitude to the little service the team rendered.

  • FIELD TRIP TO MALAMZAI FALLS – BOTANY DEPARTMENT

    The Botany Department organised a Field Trip to Malamzai Falls, Kangpokpi District, Manipur on May 4, 2024 undertaking field study and collection of Byrophytes and Algae. The trip had an outcome of familiarisation of biomes, ecosystem and vegetation.

  • ACCOLADES FOR THE INSTITUTE IN INTER-COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

    The B.Ed Department (MECTE) brought accolades for the institute by securing FIRST POSITION in Men’s Category in the INTER-COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT organised by Mt. Pisgah College, Senapati on April 29, 2024.

  • ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUMMER 3×3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT


    The college congratulates Radone Domai of the Political Science Department for her participation and achievement in the SUMMER 3×3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT organised by Kanglei Hoops. Radone and her team secured 1st Runners up in the tournament.
    The institute wishes her the best in her future endeavours.

    BOTANY DEPARTMENT AND ECO CLUB – FIELD TRIP AND EXTENSION ACTIVITY
    The Botany Department and Eco Club organized a field trip and extension activity on April 6, 2024 to Pulie Badze, Kohima, Nagaland. Students explored the venue, and engaged in conservation activities. They collected and disposed of plastics, papers, glass debris and other waste littering around the venue. The hands-on experience deepened their sense of environmental stewardship. The trip emphasized practical learning and fostered a strong connection with nature, making it a valuable educational experience.

    INTER-DEPARTMENTAL QUIZ COMPETITION
    The Inter-Departmental Quiz Day was held on April 5, 2024 with enthusiastic participation from all departments. Teams competed in rounds covering various topics, showcasing their knowledge and quick thinking. The event fostered camaraderie, encouraged intellectual exchange, and highlighted the spirit of healthy competition. The Sociology department team emerged as the winner, with the Political Science department team and the History department team as the first and second runners-up respectively.

    District Level Yuva Utsav: India@2047 was conducted at Mount Everest College Auditorium hall under the theme “Panch Pran” organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Senapati and in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Mount Everest College, Senapati on 14th October, 2023 . Over 400 students participated the events.

    ALUMNI MEET

    The Mount Everest College Alumni Association (MECAA) organised its first ever Alumni Meet on 6th October, 2023 at the College Auditorium under the theme “Reunite to Revitalise”. The Institute takes pride in producing thousands of graduates. As such, Alumnus of this institute from far and wide of the country and abroad were invited. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. V. Alexander Pao, President, Mount Everest College, Dr. Samson S Chiru, Principal, Gonmei Meithuanlungpou, Vice Principal, Assistant Professor of the college and several Alumni members.

    It was an event of reminiscing the past by the alumnus and the teachers. The alumnus shared their success stories and how this institution has shaped them into achieving it. They further encouraged and inspired the present students to carry on the good work and win accolades for the college. Overall it was a memorable and productive event.

  • Peace Building Initiative

    Peace Building Initiative

    Awareness on Peace Building programme was organized by the IQAC Mount Everest College as a part of Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada and Follow-up of Ant ragging & Anti- intoxicant on 28th September 2023 at Auditorium hall. The purpose of the programme is to promote the values of love, justice, liberty, equality, fraternity and honesty. Shri Gonmei Meithuanlungpou speaking as a resource person deliberated to maintain peace and harmony among students who come far and width in perused of Education. Dr. V. Alexander Pao, President of the College urge all the students of different community to learn to live together to promote values of love, justice, liberty, equality, fraternity and honesty. Later of the programme All the gathering sung the National Anthem and exchanged a friendship handshake as a mark of covenant to promote the value of peace and love within and outside the premises of the institute and in our state of Manipur in particular. All the students of all Streams and semesters both boys and girls.
