  • PARTICIPATION IN IRCS OBSERVATION OF INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER DAY, 2024

    Youth Red Cross Society members of Mount Everest College, along with its Coordinator, Miss Vashti Khou, participated in the International Volunteer Day 2024 observance, organised by the Indian Red Cross Society, Senapati Bazaar, on December 5, 2024, at DRDA Conference Hall, Senapati.
    The event highlighted the significance of voluntarism and celebrated the contributions of volunteers. President of the programme, Smt. Mamoni Doley, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Senapati District, and Special Guest, Miss Anupam, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Senapati in their speech motivated attendees with an inspiring message, encouraging youth engagement in humanitarian activities.
    The participation underscored the College’s commitment to fostering volunteerism and humanitarian values.

  • SPORTS MEET – DEPARTMENT OF TEACHER EDUCATION

    The Department of Teacher Education, Mount Everest College, organized an exciting Sports Meet on November 21-22, 2024, under the theme ” Sportsmanship in Action” , fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. The event featured thrilling matches in football, volleyball, basketball, and badminton, drawing enthusiastic participation. Indoor games like carom and Chinese checkers added a strategic dimension, while Tunnel Ball provided fun and energy. Students showcased their athletic prowess and team spirit across all events, cheered on by an energetic audience. Faculty members encouraged participants and emphasized the role of sports in holistic development. The meet concluded with prize distribution, leaving a lasting impression of camaraderie and healthy competition.

  • CULTURAL MEET – DEPARTMENT OF TEACHER EDUCATION

    The Department of Teacher Education, Mount Everest College, organized a vibrant Cultural Meet on November 20, 2024, celebrating rich traditions and heritage with the theme ” Celebrating Our Roots”.
    The event featured a Folk Song Competition, where participants captivated the audience with melodious performances, and a Traditional Attire Display, showcasing cultural diversity. A Folkloric Drama brought stories from the past to life, while the Traditional Cuisine Competition offered a delightful taste of regional flavors.
    The event also featured Western Song Traditional Instrumental Music. Students and faculty enthusiastically participated, fostering a sense of unity and pride in cultural roots. The event highlighted the importance of preserving traditions and left attendees inspired by the diversity of cultural expressions.

  • LITERARY MEET – DEPARTMENT OF TEACHER EDUCATION

    The Department of Teacher Education hosted its annual Literary Meet on November 19, 2024, under the theme “Empowering Minds” celebrating creativity and intellectual engagement. The event featured a range of activities, including Poem Recitation, where participants showcased poetic brilliance, and Creative Writing, highlighting imaginative storytelling. Extempore sessions tested spontaneous speaking skills, while the Debate saw passionate arguments on thought-provoking topics. The Quiz challenged participants’ knowledge across diverse domains. The meet fostered camaraderie, critical thinking, and self-expression among students, leaving a lasting impact.

  • SPORTS WEEK : NOVEMBER 18-22, 2024

    The annual Sports Week of Mount Everest College was held from November 18 to 22, 2024, with the theme “Breathe Strength, Bleed Determination.”
    The event showcased the spirit of sportsmanship and determination through a variety of games, including volleyball, basketball, badminton, football, tug of war, lemon eating, high jump, long jump, and races. Students actively participated with enthusiasm, displaying teamwork and athleticism. The sports week aimed to promote physical fitness and foster camaraderie among students. The event concluded with prize distribution for winners.

  • Freshers’ Meet 2025 – Department of Teacher Education, MEC

    The Department of Teacher Education at Mount Everest College organized a vibrant Freshers’ Meet on November 9, 2025, at the college auditorium under the theme “Labour and Shine.”
    The event warmly welcomed new students, fostering a spirit of dedication and excellence. The program featured inspiring speeches, exciting performances, and interactive sessions, encouraging teacher-trainees to embrace hard work and success. Faculty members and senior trainees shared insights on academic and personal growth. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving trainees motivated for their journey ahead. The Freshers’ Meet was a memorable start to the academic year.

  • MOUNT EVEREST COLLEGE STUDENTS SHINE IN VOICE HUNT “THE ONE” SEASON 2

    On Saturday, November 2, 2024, students from Mount Everest College achieved remarkable success in the Voice Hunt THE ONE SEASON 2 held at Senapati. Th. Pane, a 1st-semester student from the English Department, secured the 1st position , while Thaohriilou Seth, a 4th-semester student from the Physics Department, claimed the 2nd position. Their exceptional talent and performances showcased the college’s vibrant culture of nurturing artistic abilities alongside academic excellence. This achievement not only brought pride to the institution but also highlighted the dedication and potential of its students in excelling in diverse fields.

  • AN INTRODUCTORY VISIT TO TAPHOU KRISHI October 19, 2024


    An introductory visit to Taphou Krishi village, adopted by the Department of Sociology, Mount Everest College, was scheduled on October 19, 2024.
    The visit aimed to familiarise students with the local agricultural practices and community dynamics. Additionally, participants engaged in a tree plantation drive, promoting environmental sustainability and fostering a sense of responsibility towards nature.

  • ONE-DAY BOOK FAIR October 18, 2024


    On October 18, 2024, the Library Department of Mount Everest College, in collaboration with Balaji Publication (Delhi), organised a One-Day Book Fair.

    The event showcased a wide selection of books recommended under the NEP syllabus, providing students and educators with access to updated academic resources, fostering a culture of reading and learning.

  • INTERNAL FIELD TRIP – BOTANY DEPARTMENT October 2, 2024


    On October 2, 2024, the Department of Botany organised a field trip to the Regional Potato Farm, Mao Gate, Senapati, as part of the BSc Botany 1st Semester syllabus on SEC – Biofertilizers.
    Students learned about planting, disease management, harvesting, and storage techniques. They also gained insights into sustainable agriculture and efficient crop management.
