  • TRIP TO SIKKIM – DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE

    January 5-11, 2025
    The Department of Political Science, Mount Everest College, undertook an educational trip to Sikkim from January 5 to 11, 2025, under the guidance of Mr. Sangailung Gonmei and Mr. Ngathingpam Chalamvah.
    The group explored various culturally and naturally significant sites. In Gangtok, they enjoyed panoramic views from the Gangtok Ropeway and visited the Tibetan Museum, where they observed diverse statues of Tibetan deities. They experienced the frozen beauty of Tsomgo Lake and yak riding, followed by adventurous activities like cave walking and zipway at Banjhakri Waterfalls and Rumtek Monastery.
    In West Sikkim, they visited the Pelling Skywalk and Sidekeong Tulku Birdpark, where they admired a wide variety of bird species, making the trip both enriching and memorable.

  • FACULTY MEETING

    December 20, 2024
    A faculty meeting was organised by the IQAC of Mount Everest College on December 20, 2024, to discuss important academic initiatives. The agenda included applying for the Faculty Development Programme to enhance teaching competencies and planning co-curricular and awareness programmes under the COSMI scheme. The meeting emphasised the need for active faculty participation in both personal development and student engagement activities. Strategies for effective implementation and timelines were discussed. The session concluded with a collective resolution to submit proposals and initiate programme planning at the earliest.

  • SEMESTER END EXAMINATION – BA/BSC/BCOM 1ST SEMESTER EXAMINATION, 2024, (NOVEMBER) (NEP)

    The BA/BSc/Bcom 1st Semester Examination, 2024 (Nov) (NEP) at Mount Everest College centre was conducted successfully and smoothly, without any issues, strictly following the guidelines and regulations laid down by Manipur University, ensuring fairness, transparency, and adherence to all prescribed norms.

  • SEMESTER END EXAMINATION – MA ENGLISH AND CULTURAL STUDIES 1ST SEMESTER EXAMINATION, 2024

    The MA English and Cultural Studies 1st Semester Examination, 2024 at Mount Everest College centre was conducted from December 9 to December 18, 2024.
    The examination was conducted successfully and without any disruptions, in full compliance with the rules and regulations of Manipur University, ensuring a smooth, fair and orderly examination process throughout.

    The MA Sociology 3rd Semester Examination, 2024 (December) at Mount Everest College centre was conducted smoothly and successfully, strictly following all guidelines and regulations prescribed by the Manipur University without any disruption, issues, or violations throughout the examination process.

  • SEMESTER END EXAMINATION – BA/BSC/BCOM 4TH SEMESTER EXAMINATION, 2024(MAY) (NEP)

    December 10-14, 2024
    The BA/BSc/ BCom 4th Semester Examination, 2024 (May) (NEP) was successfully conducted from December 10-14, 2024 at Mount Everest College centre. The exam was held with struct adherence to examination guidelines provided by the Manipur University.

  • EMPORIUM – MOUNT EVEREST COLLEGE STUDENTS SELECTED BY NOVOTEL HOTEL & CONVENTION CENTRE

    Emporium Skills Training Institute – Mount Everest College, Senapati branch, proudly shares yet another remarkable achievement. Within just two weeks of training, five students from the first batch have been selected by Novotel Hotel & Convention Centre, a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel chain under the Accor Group, headquartered in France, Europe.
    The selected students are:

    They are scheduled to leave for Hyderabad on 15th December 2024, and their joining date is 16th December 2024.

  • EMPORIUM – MOUNT EVEREST COLLEGE STUDENTS SELECTED BY TAJ – LA ESTONIA, GOA

    Emporium – Mount Everest College, Senapati, proudly announces the remarkable achievement of its first batch of students who have been selected by Taj – La Estoria, Goa, one of India’s finest 5-star luxury hotels and globally recognized as the “World’s Strongest Hospitality Brand.”

  • DEPARTMENT OF ZOOLOGY, MEC VISITATION TO SERICULTURE DISPLAY AT HORNBILL FESTIVAL

    A team of 20 students and faculty from the Department of Zoology, MEC visited the sericulture stall at the Hornbill Festival, Kohima, as a follow up to the MOU signed with the Sericulture Department, Government of Nagaland. The team engaged with the department officials and local weavers, gaining insights into the sericulture process and industry challenges. Discussion included future collaborations in research, internships, and training programs. The visit proved educational and reinforced the importance of sustained partnership.

  • ESTABLISHMENT OF YOUTH RED CROSS WING

    November 27, 2024
    Mount Everest College took a significant step to promote humanitarian values by affiliating with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Senapati Branch on November 27, 2024.
    The ceremony, held at the college, was attended by Dr. V. Alexander Pao, the President, other college leaders, and IRCS officials, including Chairman Benjamin Tao and Advisor R S Abel. Tao highlighted the partnership’s importance and encouraged students to enhance skill and value development. Abel stressed the relevance of humanitarian values in modern society.
    This affiliation symbolises a commitment to nurturing voluntarism among young minds. The affiliation ceremony concluded with the presentation of the certificate of affiliation by the Indian Red Cross Society, Senapati Branch.
