  • FRESHERS’ MEET 2025

    Mount Everest College hosted its Freshers’ Meet 2025 on 12th September at the College Auditorium under the theme “Together We Write Tomorrow.” The event was organized by the Cultural Committee, Music Club, and the Departments of Botany, Zoology, and Physics.

     

    Dr. L. Angshim Dangshawa, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Tamenglong District, Manipur, served as the chief guest and inspired students to dream big, work hard, and persevere.

    The celebration showcased the college’s cultural diversity and inclusivity, featuring performances and competitions. Highlights included the crowning of:

    • Mr. Freshers 2025: Hriimaio Kyapaomai (English Dept.)
    • Ms. Freshers 2025: Choziine Chalai (English Dept.)
    • Most Talented: Kagan Bomlung (Political Science) & D. Raingaone (Physics)
    • Best Costume: Liideo Pho (Zoology) & Vahneineng Hangshing (English)
    • Best Personality: Rahrapuh Blesson (Political Science) & Sheeveinai (Physics)

    The event marked a memorable beginning for the new students, blending inspiration with celebration.

    Observance of National Sports day under the theme “Sports to Promote Peaceful Societies on 29th August 2025.

    Mount Everest College observed National Sports Day on 29th August 2025 under the theme “Sports to Promote Peaceful Societies.” The event began with a keynote address by Niomchung Jatak Chiru, IQAC Coordinator, who emphasized the importance of dedicating 60 minutes daily to physical activity as part of the Fit India Movement and Viksit Bharat vision. He highlighted how sports foster discipline, unity, and mental well-being, contributing to a harmonious society. A series of spirited sports competitions were organized, including Volleyball, Basketball, and Badminton for both boys and girls. The enthusiastic participation reflected the college’s commitment to holistic development and inclusivity. The observance not only celebrated athletic excellence but also reinforced the role of sports in building resilient, peaceful communities. The day concluded with prize distribution and a collective pledge to integrate fitness into daily life.

  • XIII Commerce Day

    Mount Everest College celebrated its XIII Commerce Day on 27th August 2025 under the theme “Igniting Young Aspiring Entrepreneur.” The event aimed to foster entrepreneurial thinking among students , idea showcases, and interactive sessions. Officials from the Senapati Entrepreneur Association delivered impactful technical motivational talks, sharing real-world insights and strategies for startup success. Their presence inspired students to pursue innovation and self-reliance, aligning with NEP 2020’s emphasis on skill development and experiential learning.

  • NSS Induction and Orientation Programme on 26 August 2025

    Mount Everest College organized the NSS Induction and Orientation Programme on 26th August 2025 to welcome new volunteers and instill the spirit of service and civic responsibility. Vice Principal Gonmei Meithuanlungpou delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the transformative role of NSS in shaping socially conscious youth. Niomchung Jatak Chiru, IQAC Coordinator, highlighted the alignment of NSS activities with institutional quality benchmarks and NEP 2020 goals. The session introduced students to NSS objectives, operational structure, and upcoming initiatives. The programme fostered enthusiasm and commitment among participants, marking a purposeful beginning to the 2025–26 NSS calendar.
